New DRM of Delhi Mr. R. N. Singh belongs to 1986 batch of IRSE and joined Indian Railways in 1988. He is B.Tech. & M.Tech from IIT,Roorkee and has served in Delhi Division earlier also during 1994 -1998 as Sr.DEN. He is considered well conversent with Delhi area and credited with successful planning & completion of many prestigious projects in NCR including Anand Vihar Mega Terminal, New Station Buildings at New Delhi(Ajmeri gate side), Nizamuddin station & Shahdara station, Ghaziabad-Hapur doubling, Yard remodelling of NDLS & HNZM, Ranny Well project etc., for which he was conferred with Minister’s award. Till recently, he was posted as Executive Director/Track in Ministry of Railways, responsible for track upgradation & modernisation on IR. Interestingly & uniquely, he has also served in IPS for 3 years. He has received trainings in India and abroad including Rescue & Relief Management in Netherland, Strategic Management in Paris, Singapore & Malaysia, and Track Machines management in Austria. His areas of interest include Strategic Management, Project Management and Optimisation.
