मणिपुर के मुख्यमंत्री एन बीरेन सिंह ने आखिरकार अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। उन्होंने रविवार शाम को अपना इस्तीफा राज्यपाल को सौंप दिया।
आपको बता दें कि, एन बीरेन सिंह ने आज ही देश के केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के साथ मुलाकात की थी। बताया जा रहा है कि शाह के साथ मुलाकात के कुछ ही घंटों बाद उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है।
सूत्रों के मुताबिक, एन बीरेन सिंह ने मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देने के साथ ही राज्य की विधानसभा को निलंबित रखते हुए तीन महीने के लिए राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने का भी सुझाव दिया है।
आपको बता दें कि, मणिपुर में जातीय हिंसा शुरू होने के बाद से ही उन पर इस्तीफा देने का दबाव था। पिछले 21 महीने से लगातार विपक्षी दल उनके इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहा था।

Let us tell you that N Biren Singh had met the country’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah today. It is being told that he has resigned from the post of Chief Minister just a few hours after meeting with Shah.
According to sources, along with resigning from the post of Chief Minister, N Biren Singh has also suggested imposing President’s rule for three months while keeping the state assembly suspended.
Let us tell you that since the ethnic violence started in Manipur, there was pressure on him to resign. For the last 21 months, the opposition party was continuously demanding his resignation.
